••••WHO
The College of Education at Wichita State University is offering a Robotics Camp for kids who will complete 4th – 8th grade at the end of Spring 2004.

••••WHAT
The camp will provide a structured environment where small groups of kids will work with teachers to design, build, and program robots using the Lego Mindstorms Robotics Invention System.

••••WHY
LEGO bricks provide a unique tool for exploring math, science, and technology concepts.  Their ability to be constructed, disassembled, and reconstructed allows for endless exploration.

The LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Invention System allows children the opportunity to invent, design, build and program robots while learning the basic structure of computer programming. By integrating motors and sensors with the RCX microcomputer, students will program their robots to respond to their environment.

This camp will provide the opportunity for children to explore engineering, mathematics, and science concepts while working in small, collaborative teams with a teacher who will guide their exploration and discovery.

••••COST
$75 per student.  All robotics equipment and computer technology will be provided by Wichita State University.

The Mars Rover Robotics Summer Camp 2003 is now OVER!

Thank you to all the teachers and students for making the 2003 Summer Camp the best one yet!
