Story:
The Lighthouse at Alexandria is the
pride of its coastal Mediterranean city. Sending a
beacon out for miles that can cut through fog and guide
sailors safely to harbor, this lighthouse is not more
than just a claim to fame for Alexandria, it?s a
necessity for trade and commerce, and a marvel of
engineering.
However, the fate of this wonder of the world is in your
hands now! An earthquake has just ripped through your
city, and the lighthouse?s mirror and its pivot have
just broke. There are sailors out at sea that need your
help! It?s up to you to gather the needed parts from the
city and race to the lighthouse! Follow the path to find
the pivot piece and return it to the lighthouse! Finding
the mirror will be tricky. The quake has caused a lot of
damage in the city, and torches are few and far between.
Navigate the dark streets to find the replacement
mirror, and then bring it back as fast as you can!
The survival of this wonder of the world and of the
sailors at sea is in your hands! Do you have what it
takes to save the day and let your tale be told as a
wonder of the world?
Description: The course is a four foot by three foot, with the objectives being to move and deposit blocks. It contains no elevation changes or walls, save for the container to deposit the blocks in. The robot will start from the bottom right corner in an 8?x 8? box. From there, the robot will navigate along the curved line to the first block. There the block must be picked up, and then the robot should locate the line located off center to the left, and then transport the block and deposit it in the container. From there, it is up to the robot to enter the foot by foot square at the top right of the course, and find the block within it, and then return it to the container.
