LEGO MINDSTORMS Challenge 2004 Saturday, March 20, 2003, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Wichita State University’s Hughes Heskett Center Gymnasium 2nd Floor Award Ceremony 5:00 pm, Room 208, Hubbard Hall, WSU Trial Date: March 6, 2004, 10am - 4pm - Wallace Hall, WSU
The MINDSTORMS Challenge will be limited to 22 teams on a first come first serve basis. Registration will be open through March 6, 2004. Each team may choose to participate in a single mission or in multiple missions and events. Each mission and event is individually and independently scored and judged. **In order to be eligible for the Mindstorms Award teams must complete 3 of the 5 missions, give an oral presentation, enter a notebook and table display, and be judged for spirit and sportsmanship.
Coaches will receive a confirmation e-mail after registering online. A final request, two weeks prior to the Challenge, will allow coaches to verify and update team information including team name and student names. Teams will also be asked at that time to sign up for the events that they are anticipating participating in. **The minimum information necessary to register initially is coach's name and contact information.
Teams will be made up of 8-12 Kansas students currently in grades 4th – 8th. One unique coach (18 or over) must sponsor each team. More coaches and supervision are encouraged but one unique coach must represent each team.
