TIPS III For Social Studies
Working Agenda

Week Eight
March 26, 2002

Goals

  • Finish First Lesson. 

  • Put all documents in Unit One Folder.

  • Generate a list of social studies topics (by grade level).

  • Select one topic and begin a hotlist.

Activities

  • Finish the First Lesson

    • Make a Folder in the Unit One Folder. Name it with your topic name.

  • Word Document
     

    • Topic and Title of the Lesson(s)

    • Names of Authors

    • Url of Lesson and Lesson Number if posted on Trackstar

    • Additional File names and purpose.  Ex. Powerpoint file named: Lincoln.ppt is the file for our lesson.  LincolnHotlist.doc is the hotlist we started with.

  • Files for the Lessons

    • hotlist

    • lesson

Brainstorm a list of social studies topics by grade level.  Place your list in the Unit Two Folder.

Each person is then to select a topic and develop a hotlist. (1 topic per person, 1/2 to 1  session only.) Place the hotlist in Unit Two Folder.
