1. Create a timeline on your computer. Your timeline should include flights that have taken place as well as those that are scheduled in the future. Include the name of the aircraft, the purpose of the flight, and what country designed and built the component that is being taken to the International Space Station. Feel free to include graphical representations in the timeline.

*Applications to consider for this assignment: Appleworks, Inspiration, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Works.

1. Before beginning, print a copy of the world map at http://www.nationalgeographic.com/xpeditions/atlas/ or get a copy  from your teacher. Go to the above website. Once there record the latitude, longitude and altitude of the Space Station on your map.

2. Where is the space station? Label the area on the map.

3. Wait for ten minutes and revisit the website. Record that information on your map. Calculate the distance traveled. Is the Space Station over land or water? Name the country or ocean that the Space Station is over.

1. Use this interactive graphic to compare the Apollo Space Suit to the Shuttle Space Suit. What are the differences between the two suits? Explain.

2. Space suits are heavy and bulky. Design a space suit for the year 2030 that would allow for easier movement but keep the individual inside safe from the harmful conditions of space.

9.      How will supplies be delivered to the space station in the future?

10.  How is life different on the space station? Explain.

11.  Would you like to live on the space station? Explain.

12.   If you could take only one possession with you to the space station what would it be and why?
