Journey of an Electron

Watch the interactive lesson on circuits.  (You don't have to watch the lesson on magnets.)  Find out what makes a complete circuit.

Now write a short story pretending YOU are an electron.  Describe your journey as you travel through a complete circuit with a battery, switch, and light bulb.

Design your own complete circuit for something other than a light bulb.

Electrical Safety Tips

Visit Frankenstein's Lightning Laboratory to find some safety tips.

Now think of at least two more tips for staying safe around electricity.  Write these down so you can share them with your class.  Make an illustration showing what not to do.  (optional: Use a graphics program like KidPix or HyperStudio to design the illustration.)
