discussion on the meaning of cooperation. Divide children into
groups. Groups will
work in centers to solve problem in a cooperative manner.
a. Center one will be the Web Quest: You Make the Call b. Center two - have group make one card to appreciate someone
in the school who is considerate to others. c. Center three - Group story continuation, teacher selects a
story starter and then each student writes for one minute after
reading what the previous students have written, continuing the
story (example: Antoine finds a dollar on the floor…). d. Center four - Group acts out a situation: 'you are trying to
finish your homework. Your
little sister asks you to help her with a puzzle. Your first thought is "No! Go away, I'm busy."
What considerate thing might you say instead?'
