Course title: Multimedia in the Classroom

Learning Outcomes:

• Students will demonstrate the ability to plan and outline a multimedia project.

• Students will demonstrate the ability to create, edit, and integrate video, graphics, audio and animations into a multimedia presentation.

• Students will demonstrate the ability to acquire graphics through scanning and digital capture.

• Students will demonstrate the ability to critique and select appropriate multimedia authoring and presentational software.

• Students will demonstrate ethical and appropriate use of copyright protected materials.

Course Requirements:

  Students will work in groups to create a PowerPoint interactive multimedia project to be used for instruction.

  Two groups: rainforest and prairie biomes to include geology, anthropology, horticulture, and zoology.

Your multimedia project will show evidence that you can:

• Create an interface storyboard
• Create a storyboard for each video
• Create three original video clips
• Digitize a 30 second segment of a professional video
• Record and digitize at least one audio file
• Create an interactive interface appropriate for the audience with at least 4 buttons
• Digitize at least 3 still graphic images
• Have a really good time!
